For Peter Moebius, one of the founders of San Diego, CA-based Moebius Color, the printheads of the Ganadinnovations Jeti 3318 were the big deciding factor for the printer's purchase. "The Jeti uses the bigger Spectra heads, the same ones that are in Vuteks, which are the industry leader," says Moebius. All Jeti models feature the latest Spectra S-series high-performance print heads that print excellent six-color, 600-dpi images.
In addition, according to Moebius, the Spectra heads are much easier to maintain and clean, compared with some other printers currently on the market. And, with the new printer, the printer operator doesn't have to worry about getting ink anywhere-and this is because of the printhead design.
Gandinnovations recently introduced the Jeti 3318 featuring superwide piezo inkjet technology, a fourth product launch for the company. Moebius Color (www.moebiuscolor.com) was the first to purchase and begin using the Jeti 3318 this summer. "We couldn't believe the printer was ready for production within one day. We were surprised to see that it was delivered in one simple crate with the printer fully assembled inside. One crate, one fork lift, one technician; the machine was spitting ink within four hours of installation," says Moebius. "We had a big job to complete for a client and expected-from past experience-to work into the weekend. But, with the speed of the Jeti we were able to wrap the job up in just six hours. It uses ink more efficiently and the print heads really crank out the work."
The Jeti 3318 will be replacing other printers he currently has on hand. Because he needs a higher production-speed printer-which the Jeti 3318 will be able to provide-Moebius will be able to send one of the older, slower printers to Mexico.
Moebius attributes his company's ability to grow and keep up production demand to utilizing state-of-the-art technology like the Jeti 3318. With the insurance of the production capability, Moebius has more time for personalized customer service. "The Jeti 3318 is built to perform. It's definitely a workhorse," says Moebius.
