Contex has unveiled the PUMA HS 36 color wide-format scanner with iJET Technology and the DESIGNmate Cx and Mx color 3D printers.

The Contex DESIGNmate Mx, whose 300x450 dpi resolution creates physical models directly from digital data in hours instead of days. The user interface and affordable price make it the ideal entry-level prototyping system for office environments and educational institutions.

The Contex DESIGNmate Cx produces high-definition (600 x 540 dpi), full-color 3D models quickly and affordably. Superior inkjet printing technology creates parts with crisply defined features, enhanced accuracy, and precise 24-bit color. Users can leverage color capabilities to highlight and annotate physical models just as they would with a 2D drawing.

The PUMA HS 36 Color Scanner is a tri-camera 600-dpi optical color and monochrome scanner. The new iJET Panel contains an ?easy to use? menu system that enables the setup and activation of full scan-to-print and scan-to-file options directly at the scanner. The standard Ethernet interface and iJET Technology allows it to be directly connected to network printers and PC?s. It also features Contex?s Accuracy Lens Enhancement Technology (ALE), All-Wheel drive for smoothly feeding different types of originals, and Automatic Thickness Adjustment Control (ATAC) for thicker originals.

GBC will unveil a new automated binding solution for both multi-user offices and high-production print-for-pay binding environments. Two ProClick Pronto models are available. The ProClick Pronto P2000 is a high-productivity, bind-only unit engineered to complement GBC?s high-capacity punches including the StreamPunch II, Quantum P70iX, AP-2 Ultra, USP-13, Magnapunch, and MP2500iX. The ProClick Pronto P3000 unit integrates an electric punch into the same machine for an all-in-one punch and automated bind solution.

GEI will feature several new products at IRgA 2006. The GEI 4636 is a wide-format digital imaging system that makes wide format copying walk-up easy; features a document server for fast, easy storage and retrieval; providers fast and simple scanning for document sharing; and permits printing directly from CAD, Windows, Mac and UNIX applications.
