In December and January, Wide-Format Imaging readers were asked to cast their votes in the magazine, by email with our weekly e-newsletter and on our website for those breakthrough products that have caused the most excitement in the industry and have been a valuable asset to their businesses over the last year. From wide-format flatbed printers and wide-format media, to laminating equipment to inks, toners, RIP software and scanners, Wide-Format Imaging’s second annual Readers’ Choice Top Products Awards recognizes the products that are doing the most for our readers’ bottom line.

These products deserve special attention for their technical merit and well as their marketing achievements. We salute those suppliers who have brought us these products to market.

In all, 27 categories were chosen for WFI readers to vote on as well as a category honoring what our readers felt that was the overall Top Product. The results featured some new hot products as well as some repeat winners from last year. The voting in a number of the categories was so close this year that there were three ties. Congratulations to all the winners and we hope this annual issue will continue to serve as a small token of our appreciation for all your efforts in the wide-format industry.

Our readers liked the ColorSpan 9840uv because it offered them the ability to print on rigid sheets or flexible roll stock up to 98 inches (2.5 meters) wide and 2.75 inches (70mm) thick. Designed around a belt driven media feed system and sixteen (16) 600-dpi Micro-Quad piezo-electric printheads, the 9840uv delivers true 600x600-dpi quality, this printer was a huge favorite with our readers.
