American Reprographics Company (ARC) has announced that HDR Inc. has signed an exclusive and comprehensive partnership agreement for on-site and outsourced printing and print management services.
"Obviously we are thrilled to be doing business with HDR as an ARC Premier Account," said K. "Suri" Suriyakumar, president and chief executive officer of American Reprographics Company. "With 6,900 people in more than 150 locations, HDR is a perfect fit for ARC's national scale and comprehensive service offerings. It is very gratifying to know that our people and our company inspired the confidence and consideration of such a large, well-regarded design firm. We're looking forward to a fruitful partnership."
Terence C. Cox, CFO of HDR, Inc., said, "We're very excited about the potential of the relationship."
Founded in 1917, HDR is one of the architectural and engineering industry's biggest names. It is currently ranked No. 16 in the Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms survey. Its agreement with ARC is another example of a trend in larger organizations to outsource print-related needs and manage the process via the digital infrastructure of a national document services provider.
"Working with a single, full-service supplier like American Reprographics Company has obvious efficiency and cost advantages," said John Clatanoff, HDR's lead project manager for print services acquisition. "But this total conversion of our print services also goes a long way toward complying with our Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements. It's a critical part of our growing public sector business. We were very fortunate to develop an existing relationship with ARC into something that brings so many benefits to both companies."
