Museo Fine Art Papers Selected by Center for Photography at Woodstock
Museo Fine Art Papers Press Release

Museo Fine Art, the preeminent brand of digital fine art media from InteliCoat Technologies, a world leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for digital imaging applications, today announced that the Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW) has selected Museo fine art papers to use as a key component in its digital media curriculum. Founded in 1977, the Center for Photography at Woodstock is a not-for-profit artist-centered organization dedicated to supporting artists working in photography and related media.

The Center for Photography at Woodstock established its digital facilities, known as the “Digital Kitchen,” to create a premier learning/workspace environment in which artists working with digital media would be introduced and have unique access to the highest-quality products available. Museo Silver Rag and Museo Portfolio Rag papers have now been incorporated into a wide range of CPW’s classes including, “Introduction to Photoshop,” “Photoshop: Beyond the Basics,” “Introduction to Digital Printmaking” and “Encaustics & Photography.”

The Museo family of digital fine art media is designed for photographers and artists who produce digital originals or reproductions using inkjet technology. Featuring 200 years of American craftsmanship, Museo products are manufactured to meet Library of Congress and ISO archival standards with all papers being 100% cotton, internally buffered to prevent long term environmental acidification, and containing no optical brighteners which are known to fade over time. Museo papers are designed to meet the needs of the world’s top printers and photographers and are available in common roll and sheet sizes for small, medium, and wide format printing.

“In our pursuit of providing not only beautiful, but archival and stable print surfaces, the Museo line of papers has played an essential role in realizing our original and ongoing goals,” said Ariel Shanberg, executive director of the Center for Photography at Woodstock. “The students and visiting artists who have had the opportunity to print their work on Museo paper have been astounded by its high quality and versatility.”
