Make plans to join more than 10,000 print-for-profit and corporate in-plant professionals at the On Demand Conference & Exposition, taking place March 30 - April 2, 2009 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
"This year's show is all about helping print executives tap into the significant pockets of profit potential that exist in today's challenging business climate," said Tom Bliss, Group Conference Director for Questex Media Group, producers of the event. "There is still money out there for printers who know where to find it—both in the form of untapped revenue and a much more creative approach to cost control—and this year's On Demand show exists to help them uncover and take advantage of those hidden opportunities."
New tracks that are part of the conference program include Sales & Business Development Strategies, Pricing Strategies, Hardware & Software Investment Analysis, Vendor Assessment & Selection Tools/Strategies, Becoming a Marketing Service Provider, Web-to-Print Technologies, and Print MIS. These new tracks are being added to 6 existing tracks that cover everything from managing the in-plant printing operation to digital workflow solutions.
"We're thrilled that Mary Lee Schneider, president of Digital Solutions and chief technology officer at RR Donnelley, will kick-off the conference program with a keynote address providing a true 'super-user's' perspective on what's new, what's next and what's missing from today's print technology landscape," added Bliss. Prior to the RR Donnelley presentation, Charles Pesko, executive vice president of InfoTrends, will deliver the annual State of the Industry Address where he will discuss 2009: The Year for Digital Efficiency.
On Thursday, April 2nd from 9 am - 1 pm, Intensive Sessions covering Web-to-Print, Transitioning to Digital Color, Customized Communications, TranPromo, Green Printing, and Mailing and Fulfillment will be offered. These new intensive programs are designed to provide attendees with a half-day "drill-down" into the hottest business and technology issues in printing and document production. Each intensive session will also include a guided floor tour that allows attendees to see the technology in action.
