At its annual Technology and Production Conference in Washington D.C. August 22-24, 2008 ReproMAX discussed the details of a new joint venture with Adenium Systems called ReproMAX Technologies, LLC. The focus of ReproMAX Technologies is to increase international market share of ReproMAX DFS (Document Fulfillment System) by increasing profitability within the ReproMAX member network of more than 350 world-wide locations.
Through the utilization of a newly acquired data center, ReproMAX Technologies is now providing tiered data recovery and backup services, a new ASP version of ReproMAX's award-winning document management software, ReproMAX DFS, as well as co-location options for those wishing to host their own servers in the ReproMAX Technologies Data Center. “ReproMAX Technologies will be focused on engaging and mobilizing our Partners and Associates in order to implement many of the construction information management initiatives we have longed for and talked about. We are raising the bar, both in the services we offer and the sales assistance and guidance we will provide,” said Tanner Bechtel, Director of ReproMAX Technologies.
Another highlight of this conference was a keynote presentation by industry veteran David King of MarketKING LLC. King discussed color applications outside the reprographics world as well as provided an overview of different color markets, technology, and the future of the industry.
Representatives from architectural and design firm HOK discussed the adoption of BIM (Building Information Management) as a new standard in the processes of the construction lifecycle. Other components of this conference included a tour of the Washington DC facilities of ReproMAX Partner National Reprographics, presentations on 3D Printing Technologies, Revit Best Practices, 64-bit Operating Systems, and educational sessions hosted by PLP Digital Systems, which centered around workflow efficiency.
