U.S. Companies Seeking More Export Venues at photokina 2008
photokina 2008 Press Release

The “Who is Who” of the global imaging sector will be at photokina 2008 showing a wide range of imaging technology and applications for consumers and professionals. photokina will take place over 6 days from September 23-28 in Cologne, Germany.

Among the 1,600 exhibitors from 50 countries will be close to 100 exhibitors from North America among them will be Kodak, Microsoft, HP, Adobe and General Imaging. 30 US companies will take part in the North American Pavilion which will be organized by Koelnmesse, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the trade fair organizer.

Said Mette Petersen: “ We regularly provide a North American Pavilion at photokina which is a very cost-effective tool for US and Canadian companies to enter into or to expand their business overseas. We have a very loyal following of companies that prefer to exhibit within this setting among them companies such as Micron/Aptina, ZBE, Omivision and Powis Parker and many others. The current low dollar evaluation paired with the current slow US economy is providing a truly unique opportunity for North American companies to find export channels.”

Exhibitors in the North American Pavilion are provided with a fully equipped turn-key booth. Koelnmesse Inc. will also provide translators, hostesses and a lounge area for meetings with potential customers. The U.S. Commerical staff will be on hand to assist with export and licensing questions.

Koelnmesse Inc. helps participants in making all overseas arrangments, from custom clearance and freight forwarding to hotel and travel arrangements. Contintal Airlines offers direct, discounted flights from Newark to Cologne.
