With over 20,000 faces installed in the marketplace, the nation’s largest digital printing company, Circle Graphics is gaining wide acceptance bringing environmentally responsible outdoor print production to its customers. Two products: Eco-Flexx and soon to be launched, Eco-Poster are 100% recyclable polyethylene (PE) substrates that leave a carbon footprint 60% less than PVC flex.
Launched in 2007 after three years of testing, development and improvements, Eco-Flexx is made from 100% recyclable polyethylene (PE) plastic, which is used commonly in milk bottles, food wraps and as a component in chewing gum. Eco-Flexx is as strong and durable as PVC vinyl yet significantly lighter in weight, making it easier to hang and requiring less fuel to transport.
Unlike PVC, Eco-Flexx is Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) and non-toxic and costs no more to use. Substrates are printable on a seamless surface 15 ft wide using UV or solvent-based inks made with automotive-grade pigments designed to resist fading, making it suitable for the most demanding applications.
Customers who have used the product are very pleased with the results. Says Armanda Lara from Group 360 in St Louis, MO: “Eco-Flexx has provided a superb solution for our print production needs with colors that are more vibrant and rich, and with costs no more than traditional methods. It’s truly a win-win solution for all.”
“Clear Channel Outdoor has already installed more than 10,000 Eco-Flexx bulletins with outstanding results”, says Charlie Turner, E.V.P. Domestic Operations at Clear Channel Outdoor, citing that Eco-Flexx has become a preferred provider due to its “light weight, excellent image quality and recyclability."
