Spinwave has releases its new Image Compression Libraries (ICL) for server-based systems processing large volumes of image files.
According to the company, Spinwave's Image Compression DLLs feature a multi-thread design to compress JPEGs and GIFs images on the fly with maximum speed and performance. Designed to be easy to use and quick to implement, the Image Compression Libraries enable a user to specify a file on local disk or pass the file in memory, automatically compressing and optimizing JPEG or GIF files as they enter or pass through a server without image degradation. Levels of compression can be set or easily changed to accommodate speed and quality requirements and preferences.
The new ICL is ideal for companies processing large volumes of digital images, such as auction sites, e-commerce catalogs, image archives, digital and stock photography sites, telemedicine, geographical information systems (GIS), multimedia, and many other applications.
Spinwave's Image Compression Libraries are available through the website as a downloadable file for $495. A downloadable demo is available.
